The Chocolatiest Hot Chocolate

It’s National Hot Chocolate Day! And what better way to celebrate than with an ultra chocolatey warm mug of cocoa.

Prep & cook time: 5 mins

Serves 1


  • 280ml milk (I used oat)
  • 40g Dark Chocolate
  • 40g Milk Chocolate
  • 1 x Tbsp cocoa powder
  • Whipped cream
  • Marshmallows


  1. In a saucepan warm the milk – make sure it’s not boiling
  2. Break up 35g of dark chocolate and 35g of milk chocolate. Add to the milk
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder
  4. Serve with whipped cream, marshmallows and if you’re feeling extra fancy you can create flakes of chocolate. From the bar of chocolate run a knife along the smooth edge, this will create flakes of chocolate.
  5. Enjoy!
